airmid healthgroup welcomes DCU intern
airmid healthgroup is pleased to welcome Stephen O’ Reilly to the science team on a 6 month work placement module from DCU. Stephen is a 3rd year undergraduate studying a BSc. in Environmental Science & Health. While at airmid, Stephen will be working in the Allergen Laboratory alongside Máire Fox, MSc, Laboratory Manager, and Dr. Angela Southey, Head of Virology and Environmental Test Chambers.
airmid healthgroup is delighted to take part in the INTRA (INtegrated TRAining) Work Placement programme. INTRA is an accredited and highly valued part of student learning at DCU. It is also a compulsory element of many degree programmes, which must be completed before the students’ final year. DCU work in partnership with organisations like airmid healthgroup to create positions and relationships that will benefit both the student and the organisation.
Dublin City University was established in 1980. Today DCU delivers more than 120 programmes to over 11,000 students across its four faculties- Humanities and Social Science, Science and Health, Engineering and Computing, and DCU Business School. It is located a short distance from Dublin city centre, Dublin Airport and the M50 and M1 motorways. The campus is bordered by Ballymun Road and Collins Avenue.
